2017SUMMER ROUNDTABLE IARA A record breaking number of attendees A record number of people attended educational panels congregated at the Downtown Hilton Nashville for the 2017 International and networking events during IARAs 16th Annual Summer Automotive Remarketers Roundtable held in Nashville Tenn BY ERIC GANDARILLA Alliance IARA Summer Roundtable Highlights of the first day included a keynote from former University of Tennessee Head Coach Phil Fulmer His stories about his career and how he would relate the lessons he learned into the business world captivated the room A keynote from CEO of Dealers Auto Auctions David Andrews gave an insightful account of the challenges tied to owning independent auctions The evening reception at the Wildhorse Saloon provided a night of networking accompanied by live music The morning of the second day was jam packed providing informational roundtable sessions an interactive improv for business workshop a special awards luncheon and a closing keynote by Shane ODell president Financial Solutions Group for Cox Automotive The event concluded with the passing of the presidential gavel from former president Jeannie Chiaromonte to incoming IARA President Tim Meta AUTOMOTIVE FLEET I OCTOBER 2017 60 David Andrews CEO of Dealers Auto Auctions and NIADA president began his career in the automotive industry in 1972 Along with owning auto auctions he has served in industry committees and has spoken at numerous keynotes Awards and Recognition co chairs Mary Haller and Paul Seger stood at the dais to present IARAs Industry Recognition award to David Andrews CEO of Dealers Auto Auctions and NIADA president for his support and dedication to the IARA and to the remarketing industry throughout his careeer The 2017 Summer Roundtables closing keynote was presented by Shane ODell president financial solutions group at Cox Automotive
