PHOTO MIKE ANTICH TOYOTA 2017 FLEET BUSINESS MEETING Toyota showcased the all new 2018 Camry with a ride anddrive event for fleets BY MIKE ANTICH T oyota Motor North America held its annual business meeting at the Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point Calif on June 19 21 2017 The meeting also included an opportunity to test drive the all new redesigned 2018 Toyota Camry The meeting opened with Dave Depew general manager fleet sales who discussed Toyota Safety Sense TSS which will be standard across the entire Toyota model line in MY 2018 Also discussed were improvements to the Toyota Executive Delivery Program and Toyotas fleet ordering system which now offers enhanced search capabilities and four new reports Bill Burris fleet marketing mobility strategic planning manager presented product highlights on a new crossover the C HR and Prius Prime plug in hybrid A presentation on the 2018 Camry was given by Heather Willis Hunter product education manager and Sandy Lobenstein VP connected strategy and product planning discussed the new Entune 30 system cloud based Scout GPS link and other connected vehicle technologies The 2018 Camry is the lead vehicle for the rollout of these new technologies AUTOMOTIVE FLEET I OCTOBER 2017 38 Sandy Lobenstein VP connected strategy and product planning gave fleet attendees an update on Toyota Motor North Americas initaitves to rollout connected vehicle technologies Heather Willis Hunter product education manager provided product highlights for the allnew 2018 Camry which is built in Kentucky One initiaitve is to improve order to delivery times for the 2018 Camry through the expanded use of ePools Bill Burris fleet marketing mobility strategic planning manager gave a presentation on the Prius Prime Toyotas new plug in hybrid which has fuel economy of 133 mpge More than 150 fleet professionals attended the meeting including corporate fleet managers and representatives from fleet management companies
