DWAYNE BOLDEN SR was named manager of fleet operations for AMERIGAS DBA PTI in Houston He assumed this position in September 2015 Bolden is responsible for vehicle and equipment management and planning repair and maintenance programs fuel management programs and management of systems to optimally utilize resources while minimizing costs The overall vehicle expense budget exceeds 15 million per year Prior to this Bolden was fleet and equipment manager supply chain procurement for BROCK GROUP in Houston While at Brock Group Bolden developed and maintained relationships with outside vendors and service providers including vehicle manufacturers JOHN MORELLA was named corporate fleet operations manager at AMERIGAS in the greater Philadelphia area He assumed this position in May 2015 The AmeriGas corporate fleet operations includes 12000 plus pieces of equipment Previously Morella was fleet field manager North America for ARAMARK While at Aramark Morella was responsible for overseeing the maintenance program and DOT compliance of approximately 2500 vehicles JULIE BERGS has assumed global fleet manager responsibilities at NCR CORPORATION in addition to her existing responsibilities as the corporations North American fleet manager Bergs assumed global fleet responsibilities following the departure of SHELLY LOFGREN the prior global fleet manager who joined UNIVERSAL HOSPITAL SERVICES UHS as its fleet manager Previously Bergs was fleet administrator for GEORGIA PACIFIC LLC from 2010 to 2015 Earlier Bergs worked as a senior fleet operations specialist for ABBOTT LABORATORIES formerly SOLVAY PHARMACEUTICALS from 2001 to 2010 EMILY RICHBERG was named fleet manager for ELEMENT FLEET MANAGEMENT She assumed this position in November 2015 Previously Richberg was fleet manager for RED BULL NORTH AMERICA INC in Dallas from September 2014 to November 2015 While at Red Bull North America Richberg was responsible for the management of the companys 1971 vehicle fleet From January 2014 to September 2014 Richberg was strategic account manager for THE KNAPHEIDE MANUFACTURING COMPANY in Houston Earlier Richberg was corporate fleet manager for SERVICE CORPORATION INTERNATIONAL SCI from June 2010 to January 2014 headquartered in Houston While at SCI Richberg managed the companys automotive fleet of 6500 plus vehicles in both the U S and Canada JAMES JIN was named director fleet procurement and operations at MERCK He assumed this position October 2015 Jin oversees the pharmaceutical companys 22000 vehicle worldwide fleet 6000 of which are located in the U S Jin joined Merck in 2005 to manage the companys fleet sourcing program During that time he was instrumental in developing Mercks strategic relationships with its fleet suppliers through the implementation of the Supplier Value Management SVM program designed to establish and optimize key supplier relationships Jin led the Merck fleet sourcing team to strategically align its fleet objectives with key business values and communicated those objectives to its fleet suppliers Prior to his return to fleet Jin focused on applying the Lean Six Sigma methodology to improve Mercks procurement operations and processes Under his stewardship Mercks sourcing review process has become a competitive advantage for the company Jin is a certified Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt JOHN McCORKHILL fleet director for the CITY OF LYNCHBURG VA retired on Oct 30 2015 McCorkhill was an accomplished fleet manager and was recognized as such by being named Government Fleets 2006 Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year and a Government Fleet Hall of Fame inductee in 2014 In addition McCorkhill earned all of the major fleet certifications such as a Certified Fleet Manager CFM Certified Automotive Fleet Manager CAFM Certified Equipment Manager CEM and Certified Public Fleet Professional CPFP McCorkhill joined the City of Lynchburg in 1999 During his tenure he and his team helped centralize the Citys fleet by forming a new fleet department constructing new garage and fuel sites and implementing a new asset management tracking system among other cost saving programs Prior to joining the City of Lynchburg McCorkhill started his fleet career with the CITY OF INDIANAPOLIS in 1982 In the early 1990s McCorkhill and his employees including union leadership bid against the private sector and won the right to continue to provide vehicle fleet asset management and maintenance for the City of Indianapolis Soon after I was appointed the city fleet manager and with our unions help we reorganized and reduced staff and cut other costs significantly McCorkhill recalled We outbid four other firms for the right to stay in business and I consider this coup a major milestone in my fleet career The business model we established for our success was soon used as the pattern for other fleet agencies around the country who were encountering the same outsourcing threat Before entering fleet
